I watched Akira yesterday, and in honor of that, I will present a few categories.
- The What the Hell Did I Just Watch Category
- Collin Sexton - 2/9 with three turnovers and a fantasy score of -1??? From one of our brightest stars?
- Jaden Ivey - What the fuck, man. Shot 1-7, had three turnovers, and gave me a goose egg in fantasy. I might have to turn my back on the whole Pistons organization after this
- Ty Jerome - My man played 6 minutes as the only backup PG on an injured Cavs team. Not exactly an explosive 6 minutes, either
- John Konchar - a DNPCD on opening night where the Grizz were missing FOUR key players? This is my biggest whiff of the offseason already, even if he works his way into the rotation later
- Chris Boucher - Poor Steven, another DNPCD on opening night
- James Wiseman - Monty said one of Bagley or Wiseman was gonna win the backup minutes and the other was gonna sit. Congratulations Bagley
- Seth Curry - I didn't have particularly high hopes for Curry this year, but I didn't expect him to get outplayed by Dante Exum
- Donte DiVincenzo - 3 points
- Payton Pritchard - 5 points
- The Did That Kid Just Make a Cape for Himself Category
- Andrew Nembhard - The first double-double of our season! 12 points, 10 assists, 45 fantasy points. Bravo, good sir
- Cam Thomas - Remember a few lines ago when you read DiVincenzo only scored 3 fantasy points? Just take a quick peek at Cam Thomas' league-high 49 on Isaac's bench. Super Cam has arrived
- Immanual Quickley - Honestly doesn't belong in this category because he went out and did exactly what we expected him to do, he just deserves recognition
- Jalen Johnson - Picked him up yesterday because the lesser Buzz Brother is still hurt. 48 fantasy points later, and he's the best undrafted player in the league, haha
- The Wait I Forgot All These Characters Are 15 Years Old Category
- Amen Thompson - Slow start for the kid I'm still expecting to be a sensation. 4 turnovers in 21 minutes
- Gradey Dick - Played only 2 minutes. Things were so grim, Will dropped him, haha
- The Badass Bike Slide I'm Here Let's Fuck Shit Up Category
- Anthony Black - This man played 5 minutes and got 17 fantasy points. Now that's an introduction
