Second Round and a Final Draft Grade

It's been a hard-fought second round of the playoffs, so here's the quick and dirty rundown:

  • Ja became available on Wednesday so I scooped him out of spite
  • Later that same night Steven started sniffing around what it would cost to trade for Ja
  • Over the cries of collusion, I traded Ja and a hurt Norm Powell for Delon Wright and a hurt Ja'Sean Tate
  • Wright put up a total of 74 points in the two games I had him
  • Ja put up 43 and then lost his eligibility
  • Steven lost by 2 points
  • Cinderella Cody almost pulled off his second upset of the playoffs but fell short due to a Sunday night masterclass from the best forehead in the league: Kyle Anderson
  • Winning in the regular season turned out to matter from Isaac and Will
  • Nothing matters anymore for me
  • Some people are still playing for something
  • That's nice
  • LeBron became available yesterday but too late for anyone to get him. Can't imagine he'll come off the bench again, but if anyone wants to take a swing, fuck it
  • Portland decided to pack it in, so if you're still in the market for new players, grab some of their randos

Now for some fun, let's take a look back at the first round of the draft, all those months ago, and grade them

  1. Alex Caruso - Cody: D - The only thing saving this from an F is that I love Bald Jesus
  2. Jordan Poole - Isaac: A - Without fault
  3. Montrezl Harrell - Peanut: F - Didn't hardly play at all, seemingly out of nowhere
  4. Spencer Dinwiddie - Will: D - Only not an F because we thought he'd be eligible
  5. Christian Wood - Steven: B - Only not an A because he had that little hiccup
  6. Jokic - Kenny: F - Obviously
  7. Malcolm Brogdan - Michael: A - Killer
  8. Bobby Portis - Daniel: A - Killer
  9. Kevin Love - OMT: - C - Fine, just fine
  10. Norman Powell - Me: B - Just didn't play as much as some other options
